Hello! My name is Nicholas Marrone, and I am a Writer, Director and Motion Graphics Artist from Cincinnati, OH, and I’m currently based in Chicago, IL.

Nicholas Marrone

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University in 2025 with a B.A. in Moving Image Production minoring in Film Studies and Theater. Throughout undergrad, I wrote and directed multiple student film projects; both through my coursework and extracurricular outlets, culminating in my 2025 senior thesis project: No One Cares which premiered at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

Throughout my time at OSU, I served as a student ambassador to the university’s film program, Vice President of the Mad Royal Film Society (OSU’s student film production club), and as a Student Football Video Operations Assistant with Ohio State Football.

For two seasons, I worked in the Coach’s Film Department recording team practices, operating tower-mounted cameras from 8K Solutions, managing team replay tablets for coaches’ viewing, and learning the fundamentals of Football Videography within a National Championship winning collegiate Football Program.

After graduation, I moved to Chicago and began my NFL career as a Motion Graphics Associate with the Chicago Bears. Throughout my first season, I have had countless incredible creative opportunities: creating features, prompts and promotional animations for stadium and facility video boards, editing content for the team’s official social media, filming on the sideline throughout the season, attending the Chicago / Midwest Emmy awards as a representative of the club, etc.

I have absolutely adored my time with this incredible organization, and this opportunity has opened so many doors for me professionally. An amazing experience and an even more amazing introduction to the professional world.

In the coming years, I cannot wait to delve further into my Creative Filmmaking and Sports Videography careers. From the directors chair to the sideline, I can’t wait to see what the future has in store, and to face every coming challenge and opportunity head on!
